every day disciples
EVERY DAY disciples.
We exist to bring the good news to everyone, everywhere, every day.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 ESV “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.”
The good news of the gospel is _________, not _________.
Colossians 1:15-20 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
Colossians 1:19-20 ESV “For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
“Indeed, redemption through Christ represents a reaffirmation of the creation mandate, not its annulment. When people are saved by God through faith in Christ they are not only being saved from their sins, they are saved in order to resume the tasks mandated at creation, the task of caring for and cultivating a world that honors God and reflects his character and glory. So that task given to us at creation where sin fractures what we build, fractures our systems, fractures everything seen and unseen, when we get pulled back into the life of God through salvation, he reorders us to participate in our original purpose which is to push back darkness, establish order and light for the flourishing of humanity.” - James Davidson Hunter
You aren't just __________ from something; you're ___________ to something.
Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus says, you are the salt of the earth but what good is salt if it’s lost its flavor? Surely it will be trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world, a city on a hill cannot be hidden, nor does one light a lamp and puts it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the room. In the same way let your light shine brightly before men so that they see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven.

Colossians 3:23-24 ESV “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
2. ____________________ in our homes.
“Let’s use our homes to be micro-representations of that final banquet table. Places where believers gather around good food and drink that God has graciously provided celebrating that God has brought us to himself and opened that sacred space to all who are far from him. Let’s become relentlessly warm and welcoming because we have been relentlessly welcomed in Christ.”
Simplest way to Change the World by Dustin Willis and Brandon Clements
3. Seek the _______________ of the city.
Jeremiah 29:7 ESV But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
“Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it cost a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin, it is grace because it justifies the sinner. Above all, it is costly because it cost God the life of his son, and what has cost God so much cannot be cheap for us. Above all it is grace because God did not reckon his Son too dear a price to pay for our life, but delivered him up for us.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer
EVERYWHERE MISSIONARIES
EVERYWHERE MISSIONARIES
Our mission: We exist to bring the good news of the hope of Jesus to everyone, everywhere, every day.
Mark 16:15-20 Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished. 17 And those who believe will be able to do these things as proof: They will use my name to force out demons. They will speak in new languages. 18 They will pick up snakes and drink poison without being hurt. They will touch the sick, and the sick will be healed.” 19 After the Lord Jesus said these things to his followers, he was carried up into heaven, and he sat at the right side of God. 20 The followers went everywhere in the world and told the Good News to people, and the Lord helped them. The Lord proved that the Good News they told was true by giving them power to work miracles.
2 Corinthians 10:14-16 We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ. 15 Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. OUR HOPE is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory.
1. If your ________ grows __________ you – the __________ will go ___________ you.
Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
2. Some people never get beyond allowing God to do something ____ _______ so He can do something _________ ___________.
Romans 10:13-15 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
