HOW TO MAKE FAITH MORE THAN A SUNDAY THING…

1. Check your audio.

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

• To have vibrant faith, you must listen to God’s word.

• Spirit + Life = Faith

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

2. Integrate faith into your life.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

• Faith is not your fallback plan - it’s the foundation.

• Faith isn’t easy. We do hard things by faith.

3. Pause and say thanks.

Romans 1:21 Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

4. Stay connected.

John 15:4-5 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

5. Forgive and let go.

Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

• Christians don’t have a memory problem – we’re just good at remembering the wrong things!

6. Choose to rejoice no matter what.

1 Peter 1:3-7 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus

Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

• Make a daily confession.

• Don’t let your feelings dictate your life
